More about this coffee:

The story of La Isabella Estate began in the mountains of Tres Rios, Costa Rica. Back in 1888, a young man named Teodosio Castro Angarita from Colombia bought his first coffee estate. This was the start of a long coffee journey for the Castro family.

Years passed, and in the early 1980s, the estate was handed over to Mr. Claudio Castro, a family member from the third generation. With Mr. Claudio's careful leadership, La Isabella Estate grew and became known as a top coffee producer.

The coffee from La Isabella is nurtured in the fertile volcanic soils of the renowned Tres Rios region in Costa Rica. This land, gifted with an ideal high-mountain climate and distinct wet and dry seasons, creates the perfect environment for coffee growing. Each coffee bean from La Isabella absorbs the richness of the landscape, resulting in a coffee profile filled with delightful and diverse flavours.

At La Isabella, coffee is grown at an elevation between 1400-1600 meters, which adds to the beans’ density and flavour complexity. Beyond the taste, the Castro family is committed to sustainable coffee production, ensuring each bean is delicious and responsibly cultivated. Combining the ideal growing conditions, the meticulous processing methods and a commitment to sustainability make the coffee from La Isabella genuinely special.
